We recently wrote a letter to Ms Pauline Wright, President of The Law Society of NSW, voicing our support for her stance on marriage equality in Australia. We were horrified to see Ms Wright publicly criticised by marriage equality opponents and we are very concerned by the attempts by some in our profession to restrict the Law Society Council’s ability to resolve to speak on human rights matters.
