What areas of law does DTL practice?
We have teams in family law, criminal law, commercial law, litigation, wills and estates, property and conveyancing, and employment and discrimination ready to support you.
What are your fees?
Our initial conference fee is $715 AUD, inclusive of GST, or $770 AUD for an initial conference with senior partner, Nicholas Stewart. The initial conference is a one-hour appointment, which can be arranged at either our Newtown or CBD (Macquarie Street) offices, or via Teams. This conference will provide you with the opportunity to meet with one of our lawyers and discuss your matter with them. Following this conference, once the lawyer has considered the details of your matter, we will provide you with a detailed cost estimate should you decide to proceed with us.
How much does it cost to have a basic will drafted?
Our basic will package includes 2 executors and 2 beneficiaries for $695 AUD, inclusive of GST. We also offer packages for two estate documents starting at $1,250 and three estate documents starting at $1,850. For more information about wills and estates packages, please contact us or call 02 8000 7300.
Does DTL do no-win no-fee?
Dowson Turco Lawyers is a small, boutique law firm and as such we do not have capacity to take on no-win no-fee cases. We can refer you to other firms that do no-win no-fee if you would like a recommendation.
Do you take pro bono cases?
We do take on a small number of pro bono cases each year, dependent on the firm’s capacity when we receive these types of enquiries. If you have a matter related to LGBTQ discrimination or hate crimes, please get in touch and we will let you know if we are able to assist.
Who are our community partners?
DTL has previously partnered with (and/or sponsored?) ACON NSW, Inner City Legal Centre, the Gender Centre, Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, the 78ers, Rainbow Families and more. We are enthusiastic about working with LGBTQ+ community organisations and non-profits and welcome enquiries from potential community partners.
